Demeter Diversity Scholarship
About the Donor
The Daughters of Demeter was originally founded in 1917 by wives of the faculty of the College of Agriculture. Greek mythology provided the name of the organization as Demeter was the goddess who watched over the earth’s fruits and grains. The organization has always supported educational and charitable projects of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences and in the Madison community, and continues to give gracious gifts to CALS students each academic year.
Awarded to undergraduate minority students in CALS.
