Kindness Matters Scholarship
The Sosa family established the Kindness Matters Scholarship to support returning adult students with financial need and strong academic potential. The name, chosen by their daughter Aanya, reflects the family’s belief that love and kindness are most important.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational gap of at least one year
- Undergraduate or professional-level enrollment
- Demonstrated financial need
- Academic promise and commitment (minimum 2.5 GPA)
- U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or other eligible non-citizen
Conditions of Award
- Enrollment (full- or part-time) equivalent to the value of the scholarship
The application for this award is to be submitted through the ‘Scholarships for Nontraditional, Adult, & Single Parent Students’ opportunity. There are up to 14 individual scholarships associated with this one application, administered by the Division of Continuing Studies.
