Single Parent Scholarships

Since 1993, the AAUW Monona/Madison Branch has supported single-parent students through the Single Parent Scholarship. The Returning Adult Student Award also benefits from donations honoring national AAUW founding mothers Annie D. Swenson, the branch’s first president (1909), and Lois Mathews Rosenberry, UW–Madison’s dean of women and history professor (1911–1918).

This award supports undergraduate students who are single parents.
