Participatory Learning and Teaching Organization (PLATO) Scholarships
PLATO (Participatory Learning and Teaching Organization) is a learning-in-retirement program where members design and lead courses. Traditionally supporting single-parent undergraduates, the scholarship program has, since 2013, expanded to assist a broader group of returning adult and nontraditional students at UW–Madison.
This award supports returning adult students pursuing undergraduate, graduate, or professional degrees.
Eligibility Criteria
- Demonstrated financial need
- Strong potential for academic success
- U.S. citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or eligible non-citizen
The application for this award is to be submitted through the ‘Scholarships for Nontraditional, Adult, & Single Parent Students’ opportunity. There are up to 14 individual scholarships associated with this one application, administered by the Division of Continuing Studies.
