King-Morgridge Scholars Program

The King-Morgridge Scholars Program (kmsp.wisc.edu) is a four-year, full-tuition scholarship for enterprising, creative, dedicated students committed to applying their talents toward poverty alleviation. Selected for their community involvement, leadership, academic success, and commitment to addressing poverty alleviation, King-Morgridge Scholars join us from secondary institutions around the globe.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Incoming first-year, undergraduate, Bachelor’s degree-seeking students.
  • Graduated from high schools/secondary schools in Africa, the Caribbean, Latin American, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.
  • Applicants must be first-generation students who demonstrate a high level of financial need.
  • Applicants must be within three years of receipt of high school diploma or GED.

NO Late applications will be accepted for any reason. We suggest applying early to avoid any technical or other issues. Review of applications will begin after deadline passes.

  3. 2026: The King-Morgridge scholarship is meant for students who could not otherwise afford to study at a university in the United States. For us to ensure that we are meeting the parameters laid out by our generous donors, we ask that you answer this question honestly and to the best of your ability.
