McMynn Williams First Generation College Student Scholarship

The First Generation College Student Scholarship provides a one-time award to a junior or senior English major in recognition of academic excellence and rising promise as an English scholar. Selected students demonstrate personal strength, commitment to educational achievement and active engagement within the classroom, department, university and community at large.

This scholarship was established in recognition of the financial and unique personal struggles faced by First Generaton students as they navigate the academic landscape.

Student financial aid packages can be impacted by scholarship awards. It is recommended that students contact the financial aid office to learn about impact on current aid packages prior to application.
