Barzilai Foundation Scholarship
As part of their ongoing commitment to delivering educational access to high-potential at-risk students, the Barzilai Foundation launched a scholarship in partnership with the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s Division of Continuing Studies. The scholarship will provide financial support for adult students who are working to fulfill their potential, have financial need and are facing or have overcome significant extenuating circumstances. The scholarship is designated for students pursuing fields of study that demonstrate strong employment prospects for new graduates.
Eligibility requirements include:
- Wisconsin resident for tuition purposes
- Demonstrated financial need
- Experiencing external circumstances threatening ability to pursue education
- Pursuit of a degree with rapid career growth, a high number of job openings, and/or bright outlook
- Preference given to applicants whose financial need includes dependents
Recipients may have the opportunity receive continued funding for up to four years toward the completion of their designated degree program, subject to satisfactory academic progress.
The application for this award is to be submitted through the ‘Scholarships for Nontraditional, Adult, & Single Parent Students’ opportunity. There are up to 15 individual scholarships associated with this one application, administered by the Division of Continuing Studies.
