Douglas D. Sorenson Study Abroad Scholarship

Born in Glendale Wisconsin, Douglas D. Sorenson, earned his undergrad degrees in Soil Science and Agronomy, and then his M.S. in Soil Science all at the University of Wisconsin. He went on to teach at Mazomanie High School, but returned to the UW to earn another M.S. in agricultural journalism. Throughout his career, Mr. Sorenson worked on and off campus in a variety of positions within the Ag Journalism field. Both Mr. Sorenson, and his wife Juanita, established scholarships, and upon both of their deaths, their full philanthropy was accomplished.

Eligibility Criteria
Awarded to undergraduate students in CALS who are studying abroad or participating in international internships. Minimum GPA of 3.5 required.
