Bertha Voit Weinland Scholarship

The Bertha Voit Weinland Scholarship provides a one-time award to high achieving first year, self-identified female students pursuing a degree from the College of Letters & Science.

Completed applications are evaluated using donor criteria and College of Letters & Science criteria (academic excellence, community service, leadership, diversity, strength of character, and creative accomplishment) and require well written essays. In addition, scholarships with a financial need component require a completed FAFSA form on file with UW-Madison. Students who are not current recipients of Letters & Science multi-year scholarships are given priority. Students must be in and maintain good standing and be enrolled full-time in the College of Letters & Science.

This fund was established to provide financial assistance to undergraduate women in the College of Letters & Science.

Apply for the College of Letters & Science Scholarships Application for Current First Year Students by using your campus NetID and password and clicking on the “Sign In” button on the top-right corner of this screen.

Student financial aid packages can be impacted by scholarship awards. It is recommended that students contact UW’s Office of Student Financial Aid to learn about impact on their current aid packages.
