Elizabeth and Troy Barnett Family Scholarship
The Elizabeth and Troy Barnett scholarship provides a one-time award to a high achieving student with financial need with a preference for political science and/or economics majors who are pursuing a degree in the College of Letters & Science.
Completed applications are evaluated using donor criteria and College of Letters & Science criteria (academic excellence, community service, leadership, diversity, strength of character, and creative accomplishment). Successful applicants should also have strong recommendations and well written essays. In addition, scholarships with a financial need component require a completed FAFSA form on file with UW-Madison. Students who are not current recipients of Letters & Science multi-year scholarships are given priority. Students must be in and maintain good standing and full-time enrollment in the College of Letters & Science.
Troy Barnett majored in Economics and Political Science earning an L&S degree in 1996. Elizabeth Barnett majored in Political Science and Journalism and Mass Communication completing her degree in 1996.
