David H. Durra Scholarship

The David H. Durra Scholarship provides a one-time award to high achieving students with financial need pursuing a degree in mathematics, or the natural or physical sciences.

Completed applications are evaluated using donor criteria and College of Letters & Science criteria (academic excellence, community service, leadership, diversity, strength of character, and creative accomplishment). Successful applicants should also have well written essays. In addition, scholarships with a financial need component require a completed FAFSA form on file with UW-Madison. Students who are not current recipients of Letters & Science multi-year scholarships are given priority. Students must be in and maintain good standing and full-time enrollment in the College of Letters & Science.

This fund was established by Jack Durra (BS, 1952 and MS 1953, Economics) in honor of his late father, David H. Durra.
