Robert E. Cook Scholarship

The Robert E. Cook Law School Scholarship is made possible by the generosity of its namesake, a 1950 graduate of University of Wisconsin Law School. The scholarship supports U.S. military veterans who have served at least six months in active military service.


Donor Information
Mr. Cook grew up in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin. Before law school, he served for three years as a pilot in the Army Air Corps during World War II. After graduating from UW, Mr. Cook worked for several years as a special agent with the FBI. He then spent more than 40 years as a well-known trial lawyer in Milwaukee, at the law firm Cook & Franke. Mr. Cook was President of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and served on the Board of Governors of the state of Wisconsin.
