Ann Durra Scholarship

The Ann M. Durra Scholarship provides a one-time award to high-achieving students with financial need majoring in mathematics and/or the physical or natural sciences; pursuing a degree from the College of Letters & Science.

Completed applications are evaluated using donor criteria and College of Letters & Science criteria (academic excellence, community service, leadership, diversity, strength of character, and creative accomplishment). Successful applicants should also have well written essays. In addition, scholarships with a financial need component require a completed FAFSA form on file with UW-Madison. Students who are not current recipients of Letters & Science multi-year scholarships are given priority. Students must be in and maintain good standing and full-time enrollment in the College of Letters & Science.

This scholarship was established by Mr. Jack A. Durra (M. S. Economics 1952), in honor of his late wife, Ann M. Durra, with a scholarship providing financial assistance to undergraduates in the College of L&S pursuing degrees in mathematics, the physical sciences, or the natural sciences.
