Florence Brooks Usher Scholarship Fund

The Florence Brooks Usher scholarship provides a one-time award to a continuing student who is a self-identified female majoring in mathematics and/or science pursuing a degree from the College of Letters & Science.

Completed applications are evaluated using donor criteria and College of Letters & Science criteria (academic excellence, community service, leadership, diversity, strength of character, and creative accomplishment). Successful applicants should also have well written essays. In addition, scholarships with a financial need component require a completed FAFSA form on file with UW-Madison. Students who are not current recipients of Letters & Science multi-year scholarships are given priority.

Gretchen Usher established this scholarship in honor of her mother, Florence Brooks Usher.
