Thomas W. Parker Scholarship (Humanities and Social Sciences)
The Thomas W. Parker Scholarship provides a one-time award to continuing students majoring in in the humanities or social sciences.
Completed applications are evaluated using donor criteria and College of Letters & Science criteria (academic excellence, community service, leadership, diversity, strength of character, and creative accomplishment) and require well written essays. In addition, scholarships with a financial need component require a completed FAFSA form on file with UW-Madison. Students who are not current recipients of Letters & Science multi-year scholarships are given priority.
Mr. Parker was given a scholarship to the University of Wisconsin and received his BA in 1947. Several professors mentored Mr. Parker leading him to further his education and become a professor himself at the University of Arizona.
