Department of Mathematics General Scholarship Application

The Department of Mathematics General Scholarship Application is not an individual scholarship application. Instead, it will match and automatically apply you to any of the following Math undergraduate scholarships that you may be eligible for. No further application of questions are required for these awards:

The Augusta Schurrer Undergraduate Student Support Fund award is a one-time, merit-based scholarship award for undergraduate students majoring in mathematics who matriculated at UW-Madison as freshmen during (or in the summer immediately prior to) the previous academic year, are in their “second year” of studies, and are of at least sophomore standing. Award is worth $2,000.

The Felice Michaels Levin Scholarship Fund for Mathematics award is a one-time, merit-based scholarship award for undergraduate, underrepresented students of color majoring in mathematics. Award is worth $1,300.

The Frank D. Cady Scholarship is a one-time, need-based scholarship award for undergraduate students majoring in mathematics who have financial need. Two awards of $2,500 will be given.

The Linnaeus Wayland Dowling Scholarship is a one-time, merit-based scholarship award for junior and senior undergraduate students majoring in mathematics. Award is worth $4,000.

The Mark H. Ingraham Math Scholarship Fund award is a one-time, merit-based scholarship award for undergraduate students majoring in mathematics who matriculated at UW-Madison as freshmen during (or in the summer immediately prior to) the previous academic year, are in their “second year” of studies, and are of at least sophomore standing. Award is worth $2,000.

The Mary Ellen Rudin Mathematics Fund award is a one-time, merit-based scholarship award for undergraduate students majoring in mathematics who self-identify as women. Award is worth $1,800.

The Terry Millar Memorial Fund award is a one-time, need-based scholarship award for undergraduate, underrepresented students of color majoring in mathematics. Award is worth $1,300.

The Violet Higgitt Frank Scholarship is a one-time, merit-based scholarship award for undergraduate students majoring in mathematics and pursuing a degree in the College of Letters & Science. Award is worth $2,000.
