WV Distinguished Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria
Annual scholarships for engineering students from any discipline with a demonstrated interest in a career in manufacturing through coursework, co-op experiences, internships, etc.; at least sophomore standing; must maintain minimum 3.2 GPA

How to Apply
Apply for these scholarships by completing the WV Distinguished Scholarship application by the posted deadline at www.scholarships.wisc.edu during the spring application period. Completed applications are read and evaluated using criteria designated by the donor and the values of the College.

Selection Criteria
All eligible applicants must be in good academic standing, be enrolled full-time in the College of Engineering and have taken one or more courses in manufacturing to be considered

Award Information
Recipients are notified over the summer with payments posted to the student account at the beginning of the semester.

Supplemental Questions
  1. What is your expected graduation date?
  2. Will you be a Co-Op student during the upcoming academic year?
  3. List any internships and/or co-op experiences you have completed or are in progress. Indicate company and a brief description of your duties.
  4. List coursework you have completed or in progress that relates to the field of manufacturing. Include course number and title.
  5. Write an essay documenting your interest in pursuing a career in manufacturing (any discipline). Include your area of interest in manufacturing and your career aspirations.
