Burton W. Kreitlow Scholarship

Professor Emeritus Burton Kreitlow came to the University of Wisconsin – Madison to earn his Ph.D. after serving in World War II. He was invited to join the departments of agricultural education and the College of Education, just as the new field of adult education was developing. Professor Kreitlow served at the university for 32 years and became the driving force behind a “Lifespan Education” curriculum. He also shepherded many fine students through their doctoral degrees in the field of education. He retired in 1981 and passed away in 2010.

Eligibility Criteria
Graduate students in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis through the School of Education.
