Dr. Elmer H. Marth Graduate Student Scholarship

The award is being established by Rhona Applebaum in honor of Emeritus Professor Elmer H. Marth who was Applebaum’s advisor when she pursued her PhD in food microbiology. Professor Marth authored or co-authored more than 660 publications, including several books, during his career. He specialized in cheese and food safety. He was named emeritus professor after he retired from the UW-Madison in 1990.

Eligibility Criteria
Awarded to CALS graduate students Department of Food Science, seeking a PhD in food microbiology.
