Rath Foundation Academic Scholarship
The Rath Foundation Academic scholarship provides a 4 year renewable award (amount subject to variation) to a high achieving incoming freshman pursuing a degree from the College of Letters & Science. This scholarship support the full the cost of attendance of attending UW-Madison and supports students with the highest academic achievement. Only 1 -2 are awarded by the College of Letters & Science each year.
There is not a separate scholarship application to complete for most scholarships. Admissions submissions including transcripts, test scores, essays, and recommendations are be reviewed as a part of the scholarship selection process. The UW-Madison admissions decision process is independent of the College of Letters & Science scholarship awarding process.
The purpose of the Rath Foundation is to award merit-based scholarships for undergraduates residents in the College of Letters & Science.
Students awarded an incoming freshman scholarship will receive an award offer email to their wisc.edu email account.
Student financial aid packages may be impacted by scholarship awards. It is recommended that students contact the financial aid office to learn about impact on current aid packages.
