Alberta A. Taylor Scholarship
The Alberta A. Taylor Scholarship provides a one-time award to a continuing student majoring in economics and/or political science.
Completed applications are evaluated using donor criteria and College of Letters & Science criteria (academic excellence, community service, leadership, diversity, strength of character, and creative accomplishment). Successful applicants should also have well written essays. In addition, scholarships with a financial need component require a completed FAFSA form on file with UW-Madison. Students who are not current recipients of Letters & Science multi-year scholarships are given priority.
The donor established this scholarship in memory of his mother, Alberta Taylor, who graduated in 1939 with a BA in Economics and in 1941 with a MA in Political Science.
Apply for the College of Letters & Science Scholarships Application for Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors by using your campus NetID and password and clicking on the “Sign In” button on the top-right corner of this screen.
Student financial aid packages can be impacted by scholarship awards. It is recommended that students contact UW’s Office of Student Financial Aid to learn about impact on current aid packages.
