TEEMs Scholarship
This scholarship was created by Harlan Kuehling ’86 and Janet O’Neill ’86. Harlen received his master’s degree in Environmental Studies at UW–Madison and Janet O’Neill received her master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from the LaFollette School of Public Affairs at UW–Madison.
Harlan shares, “Like so many, our lives were changed by the educational experience we had at UW–Madison. Not only did our degrees open doors for us to make career changes, but the experience broadened our understanding of both attributes and problems that we experience locally and beyond. It sharpened our critical thinking skills, curiosity, and open-mindedness. And some of the acquaintances and friends that we made on campus remain in our lives today.”
They created this scholarship to support building a teaching workforce of underrepresented populations in the Madison Metropolitan School District, which will be good for ALL students who come into contact with these future teachers!
