Walter H. Ebling Scholarship
Having received both an M.S. and Ph.D. in agricultural economics from the University of Wisconsin, Walter H. Ebling started his 33 year career at the Wisconsin crop and livestock reporting service and went on to be named agricultural statistician in charge of the Wisconsin office of the Federal Crop and Livestock Estimates Service. He developed a state system of data collection not provided for under the federal reporting program and pioneered issuance of farm statistic reference bulletins for all counties in Wisconsin. He was also a Professor in the Agricultural Economics department on campus. This scholarship acknowledges and honors his career and contributions to Wisconsin.
Eligibility Criteria
Awarded to junior and senior students in CALS. Preference is given to Wisconsin High School graduates.
