Ronald E. Doersch Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2016 by Professor Emeritus Ronald Doersch and his wife, Caroline. Ronald grew up on a Wisconsin dairy farm. He graduated from the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences in 1958 with a B.S. in Soil Science. Ronald then went on to earn his M.S. and PhD in Soil Science from the UW in 1961 and 1963, respectively. Because of his love for Wisconsin and the UW, he joined its faculty in 1962. He served as an extension weed management specialist in the Department of Agronomy from 1962-1993 and served as Departmental Chair from 1989-1993.
