DeGrand/Coryell Scholarship

Mary Ellen Coryell, a Wisconsin native, served in the Army as a typist for US Army Intelligence in Austria. Following her Army stint, Ms. Coryell worked for Lukens Steel Company until her retirement. She retired in Ohio, where she spent much of her retirement helping the Montgomery Women’s Club. Upon her death she set up a Foundation to provide not only scholarships for this club, but also to CALS at the UW-Madison in honor of her father, John DeGrand Coryell. He was a Wisconsin farmer, and this scholarship was established to honor his past by helping future generations of farmers in Wisconsin.
