W.H. McGibbon Memorial Scholarship

Born in Cananda in 1911, Professor W. H. McGibbon, began his career in poultry research with the New Brunswick Department of Agriculture. He moved to Wisconsin for graduate school and remained as a professor until his death in 1981. His was a well published author on a wide range of subjects related to poultry genetics, including immunogenetics and the effects of inbreeding on disease resistance. His family set up this scholarship to honor his life and work in the poultry field.

Eligibility Criteria
Awarded to junior or senior students in CALS who have interest in poultry science or poultry research; interest in poultry genetics preferred.
