Judith Sloan Understanding Dyslexia Scholarship
The Judith Sloan Scholarship was established in 2006 by Judith and James Sloan, both UW–Madison graduates. The award honors the career of Judith, who graduated from the School of Education and has been a tutor for the Rochester, Minnesota Reading Center (Dyslexia Institute of Minnesota) for many years.
Eligibility Criteria
Scholarship support for students seeking teacher certification in Special Education with a concentration in learning disabilities, particularly dyslexia. Recipients of the scholarship may also have the possibility of attending, tuition-free, the Rochester Minnesota’s Reading Center summer session.
