William K. Fitch Scholarship Application
The William K. Fitch Scholarship provides a $5,000 grant towards tuition for an undergraduate History major. One Fitch Scholarship will be awarded annually.
Eligibility Criteria
Recipient must be a declared History major. Students who will graduate in spring 2024, summer 2024, or who have already graduated are not eligible to receive this scholarship. The recipient will need to enroll at UW-Madison during the 2024-2025 academic year in order to receive this scholarship. Both in-state and out-of-state students may apply.
Selection Criteria
Preference will be given to History majors with coursework that focuses on U.S. history or who have completed coursework that offers comparative & transnational perspectives on U.S. history. Applicants will be considered on the basis of a combination of academic/intellectual merit and financial need (as determined by the Office of Financial Aid).
