Mae E. Theisen Scholarship
This incoming first year student scholarship does not require completion of a separate application, rather, students are considered after submission of the admissions application and the FAFSA. College scholarships for first year students are very scarce and limited.

The Mae E. Theisen scholarship provides a 4 year renewable award (amount subject to variation) to a high achieving incoming freshman pursuing a degree in the College of Letters & Science with preference for students from the Beaver Dam and surrounding area.
Amelia (Mae) Theisen was from Beaver Dam, Wi and received her B.A. in History in 1928 and her M.A. in Educational Psychology in 1944, both from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Mae worked in the Janesville school system for 44 years, where she taught Social Studies and served as Librarian and Guidance Counselor.
