Catherine V. and Virginia E. Tenuta Scholarship (AS)
The Catherine V. and Virginia E. Tenuta Scholarship is made possible by a gifts from Virginia Tenuta and her sister, Catherine Tenuta. Both received bachelor’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Virginia’s from the School of Education and Catherine’s from the College of Letters and Sciences. Both later completed master’s degrees. Virginia taught in the Wausau and Kenosha public schools, with much of her career spent in guidance counseling. Catherine taught at Marquette University, at the UW Extension Centers in Kenosha, Racine, and Milwaukee, and in the Kenosha public schools.
Eligibility Criteria
Undergraduate students in the School of Education who have demonstrated financial need. Preference for student from Kenosha County.
