Jay C. Halls Scholarship

The Jay C. Halls Scholarship provides a one-time award to high achieving seniors pursuing degrees from the College of Letters & Science.

Completed applications are evaluated using donor criteria and College of Letters & Science criteria (academic excellence, community service, leadership, diversity, strength of character, and creative accomplishment). Successful applicants should also have and well written essays. In addition, scholarships with a financial need component require a completed FAFSA form on file with UW-Madison. Students who are not current recipients of Letters & Science multi-year scholarships are given priority. Students must be in and maintain good standing and full-time enrollment in the College of Letters & Science.

Mrs. Jay Halls established this scholarship in memory of her husband who graduated in 1911 from the College of Letters & Science.
