Vera and Donald Wallach Scholarship

Out of passion for the environment, with a special emphasis upon the protection and preservation of wildlife, Vera and Dr. Donald Wallach created this scholarship for CALS students. Donald received his PhD from UW-Madison in 1953. Originally from Germany, Vera survived the Holocaust. Her parents died tragically at the Auschwitz Concentration Camp. She emigrated to the US alongside her older brother. Vera loved nature and supported her local nature conservancy.
