Joe Corry and Barbara Weston Corry Scholarship

The Joe Corry & Barbara Weston Corry Scholarship was established in 2000 by alumni Joe and Barbara Weston Corry, following their 53 years of combined service to UW–Madison, Barbara as senior editor at the Center for Demography and Ecology, and Joe as associate vice chancellor in the Office of Academic Affairs.

This scholarship supports single-parent, returning adult students enrolled in undergraduate, graduate, or professional degree programs.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Educational gap of at least one year
  • Head of household
  • Strong academic record (minimum 3.0 GPA preferred)
  • Close to degree completion
  • U.S. citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or eligible non-citizen

The application for this award is to be submitted through the ‘Scholarships for Nontraditional, Adult, & Single Parent Students’ opportunity. There are up to 14 individual scholarships associated with this one application, administered by the Division of Continuing Studies.
