Joe Corry and Barbara Weston Corry Scholarship

Alumni Joe Corry and Barbara Weston Corry established the Joe Corry and Barbara Weston Corry Scholarship Fund in 2000 after devoting a combined 53 years to the University of Wisconsin-Madison as academic staff. Barbara Weston Corry retired as a senior editor at the Center for Demography and Ecology and Joe Corry was an Associate Vice Chancellor in the Office of Academic Affairs.

This scholarship supports a single parent, returning adult student in an undergraduate, graduate, or professional degree program. Eligibility requirements include:

• Demonstrated financial need
• Gap in formal education of at least one year
• Head of household
• Strong academic record – minimum 3.0 GPA preferred
• Close to degree completion
• U.S. citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or eligible non-citizen

The application for this award is to be submitted through the ‘Scholarships for Nontraditional, Adult, & Single Parent Students’ opportunity. There are up to 15 individual scholarships associated with this one application, administered by the Division of Continuing Studies.
