Ann Hengstenberg Memorial Prize Fund

The Ann Hengstenberg Memorial Prize Fund is awarded annually to an undergraduate student with financial need in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

FAFSA required prior to awarding decisions. It is the intent of the donors that the fund be awarded to the best undergraduate student specializing in magazine journalism. Preference in selection shall be given to a female identifying student in recognition of Ann Hengstenberg’s efforts and commitment to affirmatively securing equal rights for women in business journalism.

About the process: Students do not apply for individual scholarships with the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Students fill out one application and the scholarship committee matches students to awards. Scholarships are awarded based on financial need, academics, study area and involvement.
