Ernie Moll Scholarship

The Ernie Moll scholarship was established in November, 2002 by James Paul Beck and Elinor Ann Beck. James Paul Beck is a Wisconsin alumni, BS ’60 and MD ’63 and was a loyal friend and family advisor to Professor Moll. Lavern E. “Ernie” Moll was an Emeritus Professor in the Department of Art. A renowned sculptor and teacher, he joined the faculty of the Department of Art in 1964 where he taught sculpture for twenty-three years and served for several years as area chairman for Three Dimensional Studies and Department Chair.

The purpose of the fund is to honor the life and career of Emeritus Professor, Ernie Moll, and to provide graduate student scholarship support in the area of sculpture in the Art Department of the School of Education.
