Joan D. DeBruin Non-Traditional Scholarship

The Joan D. DeBruin Non-Traditional scholarship provides a one-time award (amount subject to variation) to a non-traditional student with financial need pursuing a degree from the College of Letters & Science.

Selection for this scholarship opportunity from the College of Letters & Science will be assessed per the 2021-2022 College of Letters & Science Scholarships Application for Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors. Awards prioritize excellent students with financial need. You are encouraged to complete the FAFSA to determine eligibility for institutional and federal financial aid by the December 1 priority date. Admission application essays may be reviewed as a part of the scholarship selection process.

Joan D. DeBruin established this fund to provide financial support and recognition to students with financial need who are either returning to school after being out of academics for five plus years or students who are entering college directly from the workforce or military service.

Students awarded a scholarship will receive an award offer email to their email account.

Student financial aid packages may be impacted by scholarship awards. It is recommended that students contact the financial aid office to learn about impact on current aid packages.
