Eugene F. Dana Graduate Student in Art Scholarship

Eugene F. Dana was an artist in the Chicago Bauhaus School. Eugene received a degree in art from UW–Madison in 1936. He continued his studies at the St. Paul School of Arts in Minnesota and the University of Michigan. He later taught art at Drake University, Brooklyn College, Pratt Institute, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Yale University School of Art and Architecture. He spent most of his career at the Institute of Design at the Illinois Institute of Technology (1947-1963) and the University of Illinois (1966-1985). His work has been exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, Guggenheim Museum, Pinacotheca in New York City, the Fairweather Hardin, Benjamin and Gilman galleries, and many more.
