Jean and Edna Lewis Teacher Education Scholarship

This scholarship honors Jean Lewis and her mother Edna Lewis, both educators. Jean was a Beloit native, and an elementary teacher and K-12 guidance counselor. She worked in California, Illinois, and Iowa. Jean also volunteered in Texas for 15 years at an after-school literacy program for at risk kids. Edna Lewis, taught secondary education in Wisconsin for decades and was among the earliest of women in her cohort to do so with a graduate degree.

Eligibility Criteria
Scholarship support to undergraduate and graduate students in the Teacher Education Program, or pre-teacher education students intending to join the Teacher Education Program.
