Maurice & Grace White Life Sciences Communication Scholarship

Maurice “Maury” White was born on Dec. 14, 1918, on his family farm near Clam Falls, WI. He attended UW-Madison and majored in Agricultural Journalism earning a BS in 1946 and a MS in 1947. He married Grace Witter in 1947. She graduated in 1947 from UW-Madison with a BS in Home Economics Journalism. After serving in the U.S. Army, Maury’s career included: radio farm director and professor at UW-Madison, earning a Ph.D. at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., and Director of the Farm and Industry Short Course.
