J. Micheal Ferrin Rehabilitation Psychology Graduate Award (RPS-GD)

Professor James Micheal Ferrin passed away on March 19, 2008, at age 59. Professor Ferrin received his PhD in rehabilitation psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2002. At the time of his untimely death, he was an assistant professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Counseling at Langston University. As a professor, he was well-known for his compassion for teaching and research and his knowledge and skill in statistics. He was extremely accessible to students and always had time for a lively intellectual debate related to contemporary issues in rehabilitation counseling. Micheal generously shared his wisdom and expertise in rehabilitation research and statistics with his students, colleagues, and friends.
