Dorothy Strong Scholarship

Dorothy Strong was a faculty member in the Department of Home Economics/Food and Nutrition Sciences departments from 1930 until her retirement in 1970. Her area of focus was food-borne illnesses. She served in several roles during her tenure at UW-Madison, including department chair from 1951-68. Her dedicated outreach to teaching, administration, and research was recognized in 1970 by her receiving the Bordon Research Award. This fund was established in June 1995 with a gift from the estate of Dr. Strong, and is to be used to support women students at UW-Madison in the various fields of biological and physical science.

Eligibility Criteria
Awarded to undergraduate female students in CALS interested in the fields of biological and physical science.
