Genevieve Brown Wright Scholarship in Dance

Genevieve is a former physical education faculty member at the University of Arizona, where she also served as the director of dancing. She was also the owner of the Genevieve Brown Wright Dance studio, hosted countless Modern Dance performances in the Tucson, Arizona community, and directed ballet sequences for many of the University of Arizona’s Drama Department theater productions throughout the 1940s, 50s, 60s & 70s. Throughout her career, she continued to build upon her teaching by studying rhythm work at Northwestern University and attending the Perry Mansfield Camp in Steamboat Springs, Colorado for special instruction in modern and ballroom dancing.

Eligibility Criteria
