Ervin W. Schroeder Biological Systems Engineering Scholarship

Ervin W. Schroeder was born on September 25th, 1908, in Fort Atkinson, WI. He received B.S. degrees in agriculture and in mechanical engineering from UW-Madison in 1933 and an M.S. degree in agricultural engineering at Penn State University. Schroeder was a professor of Agricultural Engineering from 1936-1946 at Penn State and was professor and head of Agricultural Engineering at Oklahoma State University from 1947 until retirement in 1974. He was internationally recognized and participated in many consulting trips to Lebanon, Ethiopia, Guatemala, and Colombia to help change agriculture on a global scale.
