Leo and Ivy Nevala Scholarship Fund

This incoming first year student scholarship does not require completion of a separate application, rather, students are considered after submission of the admissions application and the FAFSA. College scholarships for first year students are very scarce and limited.

The Leo and Ivy Nevala scholarship provides a one-time award (amount subject to variation) to a high achieving incoming freshman pursuing a degree in the College of Letters & Science.

Ivy E. Nevala graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.A. in 1950 and an M.S. in 1962. Her husband, Leo R. Nevala received his PhD in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1971.
