Worldwide Internship Program Grant

The WIP Grant supports undergraduate students who participate in the Worldwide Internship Program (WIP), a credit-bearing online course taken while engaged in an internship abroad. Students must be working with International Internship Program (IIP) staff on their internship and credit.

Eligibility: Undergraduate students with a GPA of 2.5 or greater who are applying for or accepted on internship(s) abroad and will participate in WIP for academic credit. Considerations include financial need, under-representation, unpaid/underpaid internships, and campus & community involvement.

Application: First apply for WIP (to propose your own internship for credit) or an internship in the IIP Database. You do not need to have an accepted offer yet to apply for the grant. The October deadline is for spring internships and the March deadline is for summer or fall internships.

Requirements: Students must participate in the WIP online course during their internship and complete outreach requirements. Students who do not complete the course, the internship, or outreach may have the funds revoked.
