Student Research Grants Competition - Conference Presentation
This competition includes awards for graduate students traveling to present research at a conference or presenting at a virtual conference. Conference Presentation travel occurring between July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021 is eligible for this award. For the Spring 2021 academic semester, applicants must be presenting at a minimum of two (2) virtual conferences to qualify for a Conference Presentation award. Important COVID-19 Update
Note, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, university-sponsored travel is currently canceled indefinitely. Conference presentation funds may be used for virtual conference expenses.

- Applicants can apply for SRGC - Conference Presentation or SRGC - Research Travel awards multiple times in one fiscal year (July 1, 2020 - June 30, 2021), but you can only be awarded once. Have you already applied for, not necessarily been awarded, an SRGC – Conference Presentation or SRGC - Research Travel award this fiscal year?
- Will you be presenting at and/or serving on a panel for at least two (2) conferences between July 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021? Please note that to qualify for a $1,200 award to attend a virtual conference, you must be presenting and/or serving on a panel at a minimum of 2 virtual conferences.

- Please submit the name and email address of your faculty advisor or PI for this travel grant. When you save this application, an email will be sent with a link asking them to confirm your budget and that you will be presenting at the conference. No formal letter of recommendation is required.
- Provide the documentation you received from conference organizers confirming your presentation’s acceptance. Email acceptance, converted to a PDF, is an acceptable form of confirmation.

- Award recipients are expected to be good stewards of university resources. Please describe the costs found in your budget and what you have done to ensure you have been economical in your choices.
- What is your total budget? This should include all expenses you expect to incur, not just those costs for which you are requesting funds.
- Choose the award level you are requesting. Please note that to qualify for a $1,200 award, you must be presenting and/or serving on a panel at a minimum of two (2) virtual conferences.
- Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all university-sponsored travel must be approved by your college's dean or other designated official.
