Comstock Scholarship

William Thurston (W. T.) Comstock grew up in Oconto, Wisconsin, and graduated with a B.A. degree in journalism from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1921 after serving in WWI. He ran the Oconto County Reporter, Portage Daily Register, and the New London Press-Republican, as well as operated two radio stations. W.T. was an avid outdoorsman. His scholarship provides support for wildlife, conservation, and general ecology.

Eligibility Criteria
Awarded to undergraduate students in CALS studying conservation or wildlife and general ecology. Career interest of Natural Resource Management/Conservation is required. Preference is given to students who have graduated from Columbia County high schools.
