Truman Lowe Scholarship
Truman has a BA from UW–LaCrosse and received an MFA from UW–Madison in 1972. He retired from his career as a UW art professor in 2010. For eight years he was “on loan” from the University to the Smithsonian Institution as Curator of Contemporary Art for the National Museum of the American Indian.
Eligibility Criteria
Scholarship support for undergraduate or graduate students in the Art Department. Preference shall go to students who exemplify the tradition of Professor Lowe’s time as a student and professor: i.e. work in sculpture, interdisciplinary art, American Indian heritage, love of learning, respect of peers.
