Phil and Kit Blake WI Idea Scholarship for Computer Sciences, Statistics, Data Science Majors

The Blake Wisconsin Idea Scholarship provides a renewable (multi-year) award (amount subject to variation) to an exceptional continuing student with financial need majoring in computer science and from a rural area in Wisconsin. It is hoped the student might someday make a contribution to advancing the sciences or creating opportunity in a rural area.

Completed applications are evaluated using donor criteria and College of Letters & Science criteria (academic excellence, community service, leadership, diversity, strength of character, and creative accomplishment). Successful applicants should also have strong recommendations and well written essays. In addition, scholarships with a financial need component require a completed FAFSA form on file with UW-Madison. Students who are not current recipients of Letters & Science multi-year scholarships are given priority.
