Jean W. Fewster Life Sciences Communication Scholarship

Dr. Jean Fewster’s education began at the University of Saskatchewan with an undergraduate degree in home economics. She relished opportunities to learn and this led her to various positions in dietetics and nutrition in Canada. Dr. Fewster came to the UW to complete Master’s and doctoral degrees, both based in the department of agricultural journalism. After earning her PhD, she accepted a position in Rome, Italy, with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. Dr. Fewster served the United Nations for 15 years and continued to be engaged in home economics issues in the United States and Canada.

Eligibility Criteria
Awarded to CALS graduate students majoring in Life Sciences Communication.
